Are visas and special vaccinations needed?

It is advisable that each participant check with their own Travel Agency or in the Internet about visas or vaccination requirements for Uruguay or for other countries which they may visit or have flight stopover on the way.

Other countries may request transit visas or visas or vaccinations when visiting or having flight stopovers both on arrival or return from Uruguay. Each country has its own regulations and even if Uruguay does not require visas or vaccinations, these may be required by other countries depending on passengers nationality or passport issuing country or countries they previously visited. Vaccine information can be found on each country’s websites about travel / health / vaccines.

Passengers should keep in mind that they may be required to obtain transit visas or visas from other countries before arriving in Uruguay, particularly when the stops are long or the air tickets are independent or in separate sections. Verify transit points or countries.

The same goes for the yellow fever vaccination certificate requirement.
